This study will explore and propose methods for disentangling the impacts of complex interventions and for assessing the impact of interactions across components. The authors will review novel and promising methods and will provide examples of how these methods can be applied.

The methods considered can be at the design stage, such as the use of factorial experiments; at the analysis stage, such as regression analysis with interactions; or may include the combined use of quantitative and qualitative methods.
